The ground beneath you has completely shaken. Life as you know it has changed. From this moment on, nothing, and I mean NOTHING will ever be the same.
You put your black clothes back on the hangers and shoved them in the back of your closet. Every day, less and less people stop by. The casseroles in the fridge have started to go bad. The few bouquets you saved are wilted and starting to rot. You go back to work or school and everything is just the way you left it. The world has not skipped a beat. Your life has been completely altered, yet the rest of the world goes on like honeybees working in their hives. So you must go on too, then, right? But how could you? How does one simply move on from the most devastating loss of their life? How do you put back the pieces when half of the pieces are missing and the other half are broken? You feel angry and defeated. Hopeless and exhausted. But you go on. Cause as the Beatles put it, life goes on, and so do we.
